50 years of Nuclear Science and Technology

The Centre for Energy Research & Development (CERD), OAU, Ile-Ife, Nigeria, in conjunction with the Department of Physics and Engineering Physics, OAU, Ile-Ife, Nigeria, invites researchers, academics, professionals and other interested participants to submit abstracts for the 50th Anniversary of Nuclear Science and Technology at Obafemi Awolowo University Conference.
The conference will be held from 10th–12th November 2026 at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.

The theme of the conference is:
“Celebrating 50 years of Nuclear Science and Technology at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.”

Abstracts are invited in the following areas:

• Nuclear Safety - Advancing Nuclear Safety, Security, and Radiation Protection in Nigeria.

• Agriculture - Applications of Nuclear Technology in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Security.

• Health Care - Nuclear Science in Modern Healthcare: Diagnostics, Therapy, and Research.

• Collaboration - Promoting National and International Collaboration in Nuclear Science and Technology.

• Oil and Gas - Nuclear and Isotopic Techniques in Oil and Gas Exploration and Production.

• Solid Minerals - Nuclear Analytical Techniques in Solid Mineral Exploration and Characterization.

• Energy - Nuclear Energy and the Future of Sustainable Power Generation in Africa.

• Environmental Pollution - Nuclear Techniques for Environmental Monitoring and Pollution Control.

Submission of Abstracts

Submitted abstracts must meet the following requirements:

• Abstract: Maximum of 250 words, with 4–6 keywords.

• References: APA Format (7th edition) guidelines.

• Submission Format: Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx).
